Celebrating 22 years in business, Pulse Dance Works Inc. is a family operated and oriented dance school providing excellence in dance education in Markham, Ontario. Pulse offers both “In-Studio” & “Online” class options from Ages walking & up and provides high-end dance education with results! From Competitive, Part-Time Competitive, Recreational and Adult classes, there’s a perfect program for everyone!

• Only studio in Markham that breaks down the Recreational Program by age AND level of ability! This means that your child receives high-quality personable instruction with goal setting and results that cater to their age AND level of ability! We do not group beginners with experienced dancers just because of their age.

• More value for your money with small class sizes to ensure a personable and fun learning environment where your child can thrive, feel comfortable and progress.

• Longer class durations than other recreational programs in Markham, with no upcharge. Allowing for proper warm up, developing skills and learning choreography without the rush! (1hr classes for ages 6yrs +, not 30 or 45 minutes)

• Specially designed Early Childhood programs for Ages walking - 5yrs, that are separated by age divisions, that not only instill positive dance foundations, but are attuned to their different stages of development; helping to build motor skills, coordination and confidence.

• All students receive one on one guidance and individual goal setting to achieve incredible results!

• Well-structured, nurturing and encouraging classes where everyone is treated equally and with respect.

• High end dance education and personable instruction, not just a “follow the teacher” environment.

• Curriculum in place, followed by all faculty, to ensure that students develop and progress with no confusion or conflicting teaching methods, resulting in quicker advancement during the dance season.

• All faculty members are highly qualified and accredited adult professionals, with both industry and studio experience, ensuring excellence in dance education and no “kids, teaching kids”.

• All classes include a safe warm up, proper dance terminology, explanation of basic anatomy and muscle groups being used, dance foundation, technique and musicality.

• Dancers will have fun learning dance combinations and routines to be performed in our annual dance Showcase (in the late spring), as well as other performance opportunities throughout the year.

• Health and Safety are always a priority, and we have many strict protocols in place.
